Position Summary: Guadalupe School seeks a full time Development Associate to join its experienced and successful fundraising team.
For over 55 years, Guadalupe School has served our city’s diverse community through educating students, the majority of which are Hispanic and Latino. Guadalupe programs serve children from birth through sixth grade. Through personalized education with a focus on literacy, we set the stage for them to have academic success throughout their lives.
We also teach English classes, citizenship classes and provide career pathway planning to adults. Our school serves the entire family, not just our students. By removing barriers for the immigrant community, we help advocate for their needs and celebrate their heritage.
Primary Responsibilities: Essential Duties
● Grant writing (65% of time)
● Grant report filing
● Database Execution
○ Ensure we are fully using the database
○ Track appeals/action items/tasks
○ Regular maintenance and cleaning of the database
○ Runs and builds reports
○ Enters all gifts
○ Builds donation pages
● Wealth screening our database and determine who our top prospects are
● Generate donation receipts and thank you letters.
● Grant research - find new funders
● Build and implement a monthly donor program
● Donor cultivation of monthly donors
● Special event task master
-Keeps guests lists
-Silent Auction donation lists
● Work with development director to create donor clubs and activities:
-Young leaders/professionals
-Major donors
-Monthly donors
● In tandem with the development director implement a strong individual giving plan that runs throughout the fiscal year.
○ Giving Tuesday, Annual Appeal, etc.
Desired Qualifications: Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Fundraising Experience preferred.
