Position Summary: The Development & Grants Manager manages the administrative and analytical duties of the Development Department and the full cycle of the grant process. This leadership role acts as a key member of the NAC’s Development team and is the primary point of contact for the majority of grant funders, including leading cultivation and stewardship of those relationships.* This position is responsible for the donation tracking process, creation and running of key reports. A primary function of this, and every position at the National Ability Center, is to ensure that each member, guest and visitor receive the highest caliber of service.
Primary Responsibilities: · Manage the full cycle of grants including researching new potential grants, writing and submitting grant proposals and assigned grants reports

· Manage grant submissions including working with key members of the NAC staff regarding grant deliverables, correspondence to grant funders and maintaining updated grant documentation both in Salesforce and internal files

· Maintain a comprehensive Grant Workplan for each fiscal year. Track all necessary aspects of pending and submitted grants

· Work with key team members throughout the organization including Development, Finance, and Programs to ensure grants proposals and reporting deadlines are met

· Contributes to the Development budget through securing existing and new sources of grant funding through public or private entities

· Track , run & analyze reports on pertinent information within Greater Giving and Salesforce

· Provide excellent customer service through donor interaction, property tours, correspondence and assigned meetings

· Engage in educational opportunities to remain up to date on current grant writing trends and needs. Make pertinent grant industry information available to internal and external stakeholders as necessary

· Coordinate with Director of Development on all giving campaigns including the annual appeal, corporate giving and community giving campaigns using Donorbox, Campaign Monitor and Salesforce

· Attend NAC fundraising events and provide administrative support for donor engagement

· Adhere to the National Ability Center's core values

· Work with Events Team to provide support as needed for fundraising events

· Take the reins as both a thought leader and individual contributor to the overall financial stability of the organization – including volunteer engagement, fundraising strategy for events, grants, and individual relationships, and stakeholder relationships

· Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications: · BA/BS or equivalent experience

· Proven track record of procuring funding through the grant process

· Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing needs

· A multi-tasker with strong ability to work under pressure

· Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and produce quality results on time with attention to detail

· Database management experience and ability to produce reports with minimal guidance

· Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Ability to effectively utilize technology, quickly learn new technology and utilize efficiently

· Exceptional communication skills and comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders

· Sensitive to confidential information and exercises discretionary judgement

· Analytical skills and ability to improve processes

· Occasional evenings/weekends required
