Description

Job Summary: Club J Afterschool Counselor/Mentor will report to work on all school calendar days from 2:00-6:00 PM Monday-Thursday, and 12:00-6:00 PM Friday, for a total of 22hrs/week.
Primary Responsibilities: Club J Counselors will drive vans to pick up children from area schools and bring them to the JCC. Club J Counselors will serve as role models while they supervise and mentor children in Kindergarten-6th grade, and are responsible for planning and executing daily, age-appropriate activities. Club J Counselors work as part of a team to support JCC children and families, and report to the Youth & Teen Director.
Desired Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

Must be reliable, report to work on-time, and meet established deadlines
Loves working with children and responding to their emergent needs
Must be flexible, able to work in a team, and communicate effectively with colleagues
21 years of age or older
Current driver’s license
Must be able to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with youth, ages 5-12
Current First Aid/ CPR Certification
