Job Summary: United Way 2-1-1 is a free, confidential referral and information service that helps connects people to local community resources, programs and human services. United Way 2-1-1 provides people with information and support- whether financial, domestic, health or disaster-related. We believe in the highest quality customer service to serve all people our community

Requirements:

Handle crisis situations and deal with difficult inquiries
Skilled in advanced customer service and problem solving
Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals with diverse backgrounds, needs and communication styles
Provide active listening, empathy and other customer service techniques
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in timely manner
Ability to learn computer programs and software quickly

Work Schedule: M-F, 40 hours a week, 8:30 am - 5pm

Salary: $15/hour
Primary Responsibilities: Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide coverage with 2-1-1 information and referral calls
Assist in maintaining database records and making updates to resources
Research and seek out community agencies that should be included in database, especially in new expansion areas or gaps in services
Assist in adding new resources to the database
Conduct quality assurance follow-up calls as needed
Help with additional United Way projects, as needed
Desired Qualifications: Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in social services or human services, or minimum 1-2 years related experience in human service, non-profit or other related field preferred
Spanish speaker a plus
