Position Summary: The Administrative Intern will support the headquarters staff in executing day-to-day responsibilities, tasks, campaigns, and projects. In this internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the operations of a nonprofit while you work alongside passionate global changemakers to make a real difference. Your high performance of administrative, clerical, and project-based activities will contribute towards our work for a better world.
Primary Responsibilities: The Administrative Intern will support several departments:
Community and Corporate Impact (development, fundraising, etc.)
Write, edit, and research content needed for fundraising materials
Organize requests and orders for physical and digital print collateral
Improve and oversee workflows for reports to key audience groups
Identify fundraising opportunities, particularly with grant application research
Support management and execution for events (planning, promotion, logistics, etc.)
Expeditions
Manage expedition applications, including digital document filing, itinerary information, participant and country communications, etc.
Projects and tasks as assigned
Field Operations
Input and update accounting and financial data from country teams
Follow up on requests made to country teams for information, reports, assignments, etc.
Build out contact lists and databases for field partnerships, partnering organizations, etc., and assist in nurturing relationships
Provide quality checks on incoming progress report information regarding country projects and programs
Executive, General, and Cross-Departmental
Support internal and external administrative communications, e.g., writing/editing/organizing emails, drafting memos
Assist in meeting preparations: scheduling meetings, sending reminders, organizing agendas, preparing briefing materials, etc.
Serve as an in-office point-of-contact once a week (greet visitors, answer phones, field inquiries, and provide excellent customer service), as well as provide support to staff members in-office
Monitor project trackers and action items, help identify priorities, inform the team of relevant information, and provide reminders and executing support as needed
All other duties as assigned

Basic understanding of Microsoft tools
College or university student in a communications, marketing, international/rural development, nonprofit management, or other job-related degree program
You are passionate about making the world a better place
Ability to speak Spanish as a second language strongly preferred
A Plus, But Not Required
Prior work or volunteer experience in an administrative role
Design or video experience with the Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, etc.)
