Position Summary: Utah Community Action is accepting applications for a HEAT Compliance Editor. We have multiple positions available! The HEAT Compliance Editor will be responsible for reviewing HEAT utility assistance applications and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance with policies. This is a part-time (25 hrs.), seasonal (August-April) position located in one of two locations in either Glendale or South Salt Lake.

Receive a competitive wage of $15/hour. Not benefits eligible, other than our 401K benefit. Shifts are generally set at either Monday thru Friday 8:30am-1:30pm or 2-7pm.


MS Office experience required.

Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish or Arabic).
Primary Responsibilities: JOB DUTIES

Responsible for auditing HEAT utility assistance applications to guarantee adherence to Federal, State, and Utah Community Action policies. Must monitor reports to ensure services are provided in a timely manner within compliance guidelines. May be asked to assist in other program areas, such as eligibility, community outreach, and mentoring.

Proficient with various internet and computer applications

Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
Ability to use good judgment in a fast-paced environment
Ability to relate to clients from all socio-economic, ethnic and racial backgrounds with a Trauma-Informed approach
Open to feedback and willing to work towards the success of the team
Knowledge of community resources, agencies and referral procedures
Ability to work with community partners and represent the agency with professionalism
Excellent use of English, both spoken and written
Desired Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.
