Position Summary: SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under the supervision of the Community Support Manager, the Housing Intake Worker position will screen rental assistance applicants for eligibility and service needs. This includes but is not limited to: answering questions, providing support, and making referrals as appropriate. Must maintain full compliance with awarded funding sources, including but not limited to private, federal, state, and local governments.
Primary Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for receiving and screening rental assistance applications and inquiries.
2. Perform excellent customer services through phone calls, emails, and virtual contacts.
3. Provide rental assistance program information and supports.
4. Determine rental/housing assistance program eligibility.
5. Provide referrals to internal programs as well as community partners and resources.
6. Data entry of applications, service information, and notes into program database.
7. Address concerns and complaints in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
8. Complete and submit paperwork as outlined by program requirements.
9. Help prepare reports in accordance with programmatic needs, state, local, and agency guidelines and in a timely manner.
10. Follow all confidentiality guidelines and policies.
11. Attend meetings and trainings as required.
12. Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 or more years prior related experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in Outlook 365, as well as various internet and computer applications.
• Bilingual preferred (emphasis on Spanish).
