Job Summary: Onstage Ogden, a 501(c)(3) non profit located in Ogden, Utah, is seeking a new Executive Director to continue its mission of promoting classical music and dance in the Greater Ogden area. The Executive Director is the key management leader of Onstage Ogden and is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include overseeing fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors. 

Formerly known as Ogden Symphony Ballet Association (OSBA), Onstage Ogden has been presenting world-class classical music and dance programs in Ogden for over 70 years. Our performances are attended by more than 25,000 people annually. In addition, Onstage Ogden actively works to engage and educate younger patrons with outreach programming, music education classes and an annual Youth Benefit Concert.
Primary Responsibilities: 1. Administrative:

Works with board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach. 

Responsible for the hiring, supervision and retention of competent, qualified staff. 

Communicates effectively with the Board and provides, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board and its subcommittees to function properly and to make informed decisions.

Participates in monthly Board and Executive Committee meetings

2. Financial:

Develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization. 

Responsible for the fiscal integrity of Onstage Ogden, to include submission to the 
Board a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements that 
accurately reflect the financial condition of the organization. 

Responsible for supervising all financials, including daily bookkeeping, 
audits and filing Form 990. 

Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating 
within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and 
maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position. 

Responsible for supporting fundraising activities (including, but not limited 
to), fundraising events, grant applications, and individual and business 
donor development and securing other resources necessary to promote 
Onstage Ogden’s mission. 

3. Strategic Planning:

Responsible for identifying, scheduling, and implementing programs that 
carry out Onstage Ogden’s mission.

Responsible for strategic planning to ensure that Onstage Ogden can successfully 
fulfill its mission into the future. 

Responsible for the enhancement of Onstage Ogden’s image by being active and 
visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, 
civic and private organizations. 

Desired Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Masters Degree in Business or Arts Administration preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3 years related experience.

Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication skills, including strong public speaking ability. Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations. Demonstrated experience in budgeting and fiscal management. Ability to interface and engage with diverse patron, donor and volunteer groups. Strong organizational skills including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Tools (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Meet), Customer Relationship Management systems, Electronic Document Preparation Systems (Adobe), Virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Webex, etc.), Accounting systems (Quickbooks, Xero, etc.)
