Job Summary: The HRT Coordinator manages the day-to-day operation of the Hospital Response Team; a team made up of part-time staff and volunteers totaling a workforce of 25. The position is dedicated to creating procedures, implementing best practices, and mentoring staff to deliver care to sexual assault survivors. The position has a heavy focus on logistics, overseeing 24/7 scheduling, addressing trends in performance, and contributing to the organization with expertise in crisis management. The HRT Coordinator will work to ensure advocacy delivery to all survivors in need of crisis intervention services, seeking out medical care, or crisis intervention following a sexual assault in Salt Lake County. They are responsible for onboarding new staff and volunteers, training, and mentoring advocates who are part of this team to provide the highest standard of care. They will also work to cultivate and facilitate community partnerships to increase cross-collaboration. The ideal applicant for this position understands and embraces the nature of managing a 24/7 team and the unpredictability that accompanies crisis work.
Primary Responsibilities: Provide leadership in planning, creating, and executing all of Hospital Response Team operations.
Identify enrichments to the Hospital Response Team program and processes as necessary
Understand the role the Hospital Response Team plays in the county-wide Sexual Assault Response Team (SART)
Monitor the environment of the Hospital Response Team for gaps in service delivery and proactively work to close gaps to minimize disruption in service delivery
Advise the Director of Advocacy on trending issues and strategic monitoring
Uphold positive and productive relationships with internal and external partners
Work with the Director of Advocacy to create, monitor and execute program budget
Collaborate with Rape Recovery Center departments to increase knowledge of HRT services throughout Salt Lake County
Increase knowledge of the Rape Recovery Center model in group and one on one settings through the facilitation of crucial 40-hour training days
Oversee a team of 25 staff and volunteers who provide mobile advocacy in Salt Lake County
Act as an on-call manager during business hours, staffing cases with advocates, and providing support
Desired Qualifications: Experience managing a crisis or other mobile response program
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills across multiple mediums
Demonstrated project management, public speaking, writing, and interpersonal skills
Excellence in balancing multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously
Innovative, collaborative, and self-directed
Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suites
Bachelor’s degree in related field OR 5 years experience in the human services or non-profit sector as a supervisor OR an equivalent combination of practical and academic experience
Bilingual/ Multilingual/Bicultural
Organized and detail-oriented
Experience with case management, working with vulnerable populations (LGBTQI+, Homeless, Pacific Islanders, American Indian/Native American, undocumented immigrants)
Conditions of Employment Offer
The employee must obtain a 40-hour crisis counselor certification within 90-days or next available training.
The employee must pass a background check

This is a salary, 40-hours per week position. The remuneration for this position is based on past relevant experience. An annual salary of $41,600-$42,640 depending on experience.
