Job Summary: The Bountiful Community Food Pantry (BCFP) is seeking a full time Executive Director to fill an opening due to the planned retirement of the current Executive Director. The BCFP currently distributes 2+ million pounds of food each year, is partnered with several agencies in Davis County and has a strong partnership with Davis School District/Davis Education Foundation. The BCFP is active in various state and county food pantry coalitions and work groups where partners collaborate to find ways to fill gaps and improve food assistance in the area. At the pantry 2 full time employees, 4 part time employees and over 200 regular volunteers serve together to provide food assistance and client services to individuals primarily who live in Davis County. In addition to these resources, the pantry hosts hundreds of occasional volunteers who primarily sort donated food items four evenings each week. In 2019 the pantry served individuals 154,199 (duplicated) times including helping 800 - 1,000 households at the pantry facility monthly and 3,000+ children weekly at Davis School District and local charter schools.
Primary Responsibilities: The BCFP Executive Director oversees all aspects of the organization, which includes but is not limited to:
• Providing oversight of food collection/distribution and client services
• Performing business management functions including:
o Develop pantry budgets
o Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable (donation management)
o Monthly financial reporting and expense management
o Tax reporting input
o Audit input preparation
o Personnel and payroll oversight
• Performing fundraising duties including grant writing (public sector and private sector),grant reporting and other fund raising through private sources and events
• Managing community relations including other relationships with agencies including key partners (Utah Food Bank, other Utah food pantries, State of Utah) elected officials, church leaders, businesses and other civic leaders
• Donor and volunteer appreciation
• Long term/strategic planning
• Creating a team-like, positive work environment with other employees and volunteers
• Promoting awareness of hunger throughout the community through presentations and involvement at community events

This Director will report directly to the Board of Directors for the Bountiful Community Food Pantry and will manage the paid staff of the pantry.
Desired Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent
• Personnel and business operations management experience and the ability to effectively oversee business operations
• Marketing and/or communications experience
• Strong verbal and written communications skills and good listening skills
• Supervisory, volunteer management and delegation skills
• Budgeting, finance and administrative management experience
• Strong problem solving, analytical, organizational and teamwork skills
• Understanding of food pantry operations, non-profit operations, fund raising, grant writing and community building
• Understanding of hunger awareness and services available to help low income families and individuals
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule including some evenings
