Nonprofit Day on the Hill is the one day that nonprofits from everywhere in the state serving every cause can show up at the Utah Capitol so that our elected officials show up for nonprofits. Whether you are new to advocacy or a seasoned pro, Nonprofit Day on the Hill is the perfect opportunity to get involved in Utah’s legislative session, create relationships with elected officials and alliances with nonprofits who believe in your work, and speak out on behalf of your mission. It’s one day—that has the potential to create a new playing field for your nonprofit. 

Registration is limited to 39 organizations and will sell out. Please note that this opportunity is only open to current UNA members; you must be logged in to Member Central to register.

Here’s what you can expect:

8:00 AM to 10:00 AM

• Registration/Check In 
• Welcome and Guest Speaker 
• Share your nonprofit’s legislative priorities and identify potential allies 

10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

• Tabling set-up
• Group photo
• Visit offices and drop off letters of introduction 

11:00 AM to 2 PM

• Point of Personal Privilege in the House and Senate
• Tabling in the Rotunda 
• Lunch on your own: from the Capitol cafeteria, off-site, or packed lunch 

Your registration includes:  

• One table and two chairs in the Capitol Rotunda from 11 am to 2 pm  
• An informational packet on nonprofit lobbying and advocacy 
• Networking and collaboration with fellow UNA member nonprofits 
• An introduction to the legislative process and an opportunity to meet with elected officials 
• Publicity and visibility for your nonprofit 
• Registration for our virtual Nonprofit Day on the Hill Prep Session on February 6 from 1 pm to 2 pm (optional)
