Reimagining Your Board

Registration is closed for this event
What would a more engaged Board do for you and your organization? We think that the answer is a lot ... a whole lot. The greater your board’s engagement, the greater their likelihood of transforming your organization into one with better ambassadors, increased fundraising, and strategic deployment of resources. Increasing board engagement, while never a simple task, has been made even more complicated by the omnishambles* of the last year. It’s time to reset and reinvigorate your Board, so join us for this important session, Reimagine Your Board, and explore new ways to designed to help you do just that.

Kari Anderson from Incite! Consulting and UNA will offer specific tactics and new ways to not just reset your Board’s engagement, but to reimagine and expand how they can improve your mission.

*Omnishambles [om-nuh-sham-buhlz] is another way of describing a situation that brings about disorder or chaos. And yes, we are referring to 2020. (For Newsletter and emails add: If this word makes you uncomfortable, please fell welcome to replace it with unprecedented, exhausting, or even dumpster-fire.)

You know that an engaged board strives to put their expertise to use, is forward-thinking, and builds your nonprofit’s network to fulfill your mission, but you need a way to, well, bring your board on board.

We’ll discuss

  • The pesky and persistent challenges (that might even include mistrust and a lack of confidence) that inhibit board engagement

  • How your board and individual board members can support you

  • Specific actions to move your board from passive to active

  • Techniques for prioritizing the experiences of your board members
