UNA Credential in Leadership and Organizational Culture (online)

It’s called mission critical ... because it is! And mission critical means that everything—organizational culture, leadership, strategic plan, mission, and vision—fully supports your cause. Trueing all this up requires the right tools, resources, information, and, most importantly, time to create best practices. Since we work at a nonprofit, we know just how rare and valuable your time is. So instead of undertaking a mission to gather what you need to align your mission, you can participate in the Credential in Leadership and Organizational Culture. You’ll work with a subject-matter-expert/coach and peers to true up your organization’s leadership and culture that you can be true to your mission—and definitely save some time.

Participating in the Credential in Leadership and Organizational Culture will outfit you with practical, actionable skills and tools for creating a high-performing nonprofits. The course includes online, live training sessions, consultations, a library of resources and, upon full completion of the course requirements, an organizational Badge.

Online Classroom Training Sessions
Your subject-matter-expert/coach will lead you and other nonprofit leaders in two days of online training-sessions that cover 

  • proven leadership principles, 
  • the value and steps of strategic planning, 
  • the creation of a mission- and value-driven organization,  
  • a process for organizational change-management, 
  • crisis management (like COVID-19),  
  • and the incorporation of a Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) lens as you create a culture of excellence. 

A One-on-One Consultation
You'll meet with the subject-matter-expert and receive specific feedback and coaching on your organization's culture and leadership. 

Successful participation means that you’ll  

Gain a deep understanding of organizational culture and it’s affected by other parts of your organization
Integrate proven principles of leadership into all levels of your organization’s leadership
Understand the value of strategic planning and demonstrate proficiency using tools to conduct the strategic planning process 
Relate all your organization’s activities to the mission of your nonprofit and identify activities or processes that are obsolete or are hindering the organization’s culture 
Earn your organization a  Badge in Leadership and Organizational Culture that signifies your commitment to building organizational capacity.

UNA Members: $150 for the first person/$30 for each additional participant 
Not-Yet-Members: $300 for the first person/$60 for each additional participant 

Online Classroom-Training Session (Part 1): Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 9 am to 3 pm 
Online Classroom-Training Session (Part 2): Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 9 am to 3 pm 
Consultations*: Wednesday, October 6, 2021 or Thursday, October 7, 2021 

*Consultations provide participants an opportunity for more deeply integrating the concepts and practices covered in the program. We'll schedule each participating organization for one 45-minute consultation with our Subject Matter Expert.
