Nonprofit Days “on” the Hill empowers you, your staff, and your board to make your story heard—and it’s all done virtually.

Your participation in our 2021 Nonprofit Days "on" the Hill:

• Connects you with federal, state, county, city, and local elected officials, 

• Introduces you to cohorts who can help you build a more powerful advocacy engine, and  

• Equips you with the skills and knowledge you need to be informed and effective.  

Your registration includes:

• An insider’s guide on setting up meetings with elected officials (federal, state, county, city, and local leaders) and tricks and tips for getting that (virtual) face to face meeting. 
• A starting role in our Year-Round Advocacy League (our first league ever) where you will connect with player-coaches (including you). This is not a league of your own, this is a league for all of us who advocate thoughtfully on behalf of our missions. 
• Kick-Off Event Participation: Launch your 2021 advocacy with our January 14 overview of Utah’s nonprofit sector in Utah. You’ll gain expertise on navigating the Utah State Legislature website le.utah.gov. You'll also find out about the legislation UNA is following or working to pass (or not) on behalf of the nonprofit community and discover how the UNA endorsement process works for your benefit. 
• Live-Watch parties with your Advocacy League: Join us on January 19 for live watch parties on the start of the 2021 legislative session. Use this party to connect with peers and build alliances for this and future legislative sessions. 
• State Policy Stakeholder Presentations: Hear from the Office of Legislative Research, the Office of the State Auditor, and the Legislative Fiscal Analyst Office and walk away with a clear understanding of their impact on the legislative process and ways you can work with them to advance your mission. 
• Mid-Session Q & A Sessions with UNA Staff: February 9 and February 11 create space for finding answers to your advocacy efforts.  
• Participation in Utah Nonprofit Employee Day of Recognition on March 5 is your day to celebrate your invaluable, incredible staff and tell the world how special they are. This is our take on National Employee Recognition Day (—only better, because it’s about you!).  
• Legislative Session Recap on March 16 brings you up to date on what did and did not happen during the legislative session. Successes and next steps will be shared from all of our perspectives and we will explore ways to work collaboratively together over the next year.
