Showcasing UNA's Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Journey

Today’s recent events remind us that we all can take part in creating a more just, equitable world. We know that changing the world— a journey rather than a destination—only happens with action. Join Kate Rubalcava, UNA CEO, as she shares the steps that UNA has taken, and will take, in making UNA and our community more inclusive. You can use what you learn as inspiration to begin your own journey.

This session is designed for anyone who works or volunteers in the nonprofit sector. Some of the components require policy implementation, board involvement, and organizational leadership; however everyone who participates will learn something.

This case study highlights UNA’s journey with our Race, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) work. You will learn the steps UNA took to center REDI within its operations/programming. You will also get a sneak peak into the continued integration and framing of REDI that UNA staff and board are taking.

  1. You will learn the steps UNA has taken and will take.

  1. You will receive at least 3 tangible takeaways you can implement.

  1. You will receive resources to continue your personal journey and the journey of your organization.
