UNA Volunteer Management Brings Updated Best Practices to Your Organization
Engaged, talented, and committed volunteers are a critical resource for successful nonprofits. They bring willing hands and a passion for the mission that uplifts and impacts the nonprofit staff and the community at large.
Developing and implementing a strategy for volunteer integration delivers organizations a return as high as 6X. UNA’s Volunteer Management Organizational Credential provides a path for participating organizations to create that strategy.
Volunteer managers will develop the tools to approach program changes in a strategic way and increase overall organizational effectiveness. Volunteer coordinators dive deeply into traditional topics like recruitment and retention and gain mastery over new topics in this curriculum.

Volunteer Management will deliver the following to your organization:
- Integrate volunteer management into their organization's overall planning and development
- Secure senior leadership support and resources for strong volunteer management practices
- Develop and implement effective volunteer-related training organization-wide
- Recruit, track, and communicate with volunteers digitally

This course is one of nine Nonprofit Organizational Credential offerings. Each Credential course is designed to move your organization to the next level in adopting and following best practices--resulting in a vibrant, sustainable nonprofit. We encourage you to invite staff, volunteers, and board members to accompany you. Expanded participation broadens perspective, builds cooperation, and lightens the workload. UNA's Nonprofit Organizational Credential in Volunteer Managementprovides state-of-the-art information condensed into two days of classroom instruction taught by our Subject Matter Experts, Jacob Johnson and Scott Keyes of UServeUtah. You’ll take this deeper understanding back to your organization and begin to apply it to your policies and practices. Then you'll reconvene with our Subject Matter Experts to workshop your practices and ask questions specific to your organization. Once you’ve documented best-practices at your organization, your organization earns the Volunteer Management Badge.
