Submit Your Proposal for REGROUP: The 2021 UNA Annual Conference

You can help our community regroup by submitting a proposal for a Breakout Session that refocuses and re-centers the spirit, imagination, and work of Utah’s nonprofit pros. We invite you to share your expertise and experience and help our community answer the question, “What’s next?”

If you have any questions or concerns in submitting your proposal, please contact Alison Anderson, Operations and Conference Manager, aanderson@utahnonprofits.org.

Please read through the form in its entirety, including the following important information and guidelines before creating your proposal.

Proposal Deadline: Friday, May 14, 2021—We will communicate our decision by mid July.

Conference Dates: Tuesday, September 21 through Thursday, September 23, 2021
For the health and safety of all our attendees, the 2021 UNA Annual Conference will be virtual.

Free Registration: All selected presenters are invited to join us at the conference for free. UNA is unable to provide honoraria or reimburse presenters for travel costs or other expenses incurred in the development of presentations.

Changes/Additions: If your session is selected, breakout session slots are nontransferable and we are unable to make changes or additions to speakers/presentations after selection.

UNA Sessions are Noncommercial: Presenters should refrain from using brand names and endorsing specific products. Under no circumstances should a conference breakout session be used as a place for promoting a speaker’s product, service, or monetary self-interest.

Recordings: Presentations will be recorded and, along with slides, will be available to conference attendees via UNA's conference website for three months following the conference.

Our committee will select breakout session proposals that:

  • are practical and skills-based
  • cover the subject matter at an intermediate or higher level (unless specified for a beginner audience)
  • emphasize depth over breadth of a topic area
  • address new ways of solving problems
  • have clear learning objectives
  • have specific and identifiable operational takeaways for participants
  • provide solutions along functional areas (for example, fundraising) that would also work for smaller nonprofits

Please tell us about yourself.

Please share web links below if you have virtual presentation examples. Or, please share a video introducing yourself and your topic. On-screen presence is extremely important when presenting virtually and we'd love to see and hear you (90 seconds max on video introductions).

Upload your video to a program like YouTube or Vimeo and share the web link below or use a file sharing software and send a link to aanderson@utahnonprofits.org. Please name your video file clearly if you email your video through a file share program (i.e. Dropbox, Google).
