Interested in becoming a UNA Benefit Partner?

Benefit Partners are businesses with an interest to promote and support the mission and values of the Utah Nonprofit Association and the nonprofit community in Utah.  By collaborating with UNA we pledge to connect you with hundreds of nonprofits throughout Utah through a variety of methods, including face-to face networking and multi-media opportunities.

To be a UNA Benefit Partner, your business agrees to:

  • Commit to providing excellent customer service to our nonprofit members.
  • Your content and/or services appealing to a broad range of nonprofits that are diverse in size, geographic location, and mission type.
  • Provide solutions that are in high demand and address common issues for most nonprofits.
  • Provide a special benefit or discount to UNA members not available to non-members. Typical partnerships exceed 20% savings for UNA members. UNA markets benefit partners to non-members but at the retail price.
  • Provide a revenue share and/or other financial support to UNA.
  • Having experience working with multiple nonprofits or is willing to learn about the breadth and depth of the nonprofit community.
  • Be responsible for co-developing partnership outline, curriculum, marketing materials and/or promotional language.
  • Six plus weeks of lead time before announcement of partnership.

Partners will have access to contact information for registrants/participants; UNA will maintain the privacy of contact information for those members/non-members that don't opt-in to partnership event, service or product.

Prior to the formalization of a partnership, UNA will conduct research regarding your business and owners. 

Together, your business and UNA, will negotiate a formal annual agreement.


 

Benefit Partnership Levels

Benefit Level 1: $10,000/year

*Can be broken into $2,500/quarter, includes option to designate one quarter amount towards Fearless Sponsor Level for Annual Nonprofit Conference

  • Business Membership ($1,200 value)
    • One display ad on the Nonprofit Services Directory in one category and a featured listing in one additional category
    • Employees from your business will receive training at the UNA member price. This will help your business understand and communicate with the nonprofit community more effectively. ($15-$150 value per employee)
  • Marketing (over $5,000 value)
    • Ad on home page of our website for one month, after establishment of partnership, coincided with dedicated email announcing partnership.
    • UNA will send a dedicated email message to our mailing list on behalf of your business (~7800 subscribers) two times during the year. This benefit must be coordinated with UNA staff prior to distribution, and will be sent in accordance with our master communication plan.  We will send your content via our system so your content gets in front of our members, and doesn't go to the junk folder.  (UNA will not share our mailing list and reserves the right to approve the final mailing to our members.)
    • Featured in UNA monthly email newsletter one month after partnership is established, afterward basic ad listing in newsletters once/month.
    • 1 social media sponsored ad/quarter (Twitter 1300+ followers, LinkedIn 90+ followers, Instagram 350+ followers, and Facebook 3500+ followers; total potential reach 5200+) tagging your organizations social media platforms
    • Your business will be listed in our Annual Report to all members.
  • Opportunity to provide “swag” items for the Annual Nonprofit Conference participants (over 500 nonprofit professionals attend each year)
  • You will have the first opportunity to sponsor annual nonprofit training/events. We host face-to-face training and networking socials throughout the year and throughout Utah, as well as online training when able.  This is a great way to get your name and logo in front of nonprofit leaders.**
  • Use of UNA conference room to present a workshop covering relevant and useful information to our members. We will advertise your workshop to our members and track RSVPs.  We are looking for effective presenters who can teach our members something they need to know to help run their nonprofit more effectively and efficiently.  (This is not a marketing or advertising opportunity.) ($150 value)

All this adds up to a value of over $8,000 for your business and exposure to over 600 nonprofit members and 10,000 nonprofits in the State of Utah!!

Benefit Level 2: $5,000/year

*Includes option to designate $1,500 towards Innovation Sponsorship Level for the Annual Nonprofit Conference

  • Business Membership ($500 value)
    • Featured listing in one category on the Nonprofit Services Directory.
    • Employees from your business will receive training at the UNA member price. This will help your business understand and communicate with the nonprofit community more effectively. ($15-$150 value per employee)
  • Marketing (over $2,000 value)
    • Featured in UNA email newsletter after partnership is established, afterward basic ad listing in newsletters once/month.
    • Your business will be listed in our Annual Report to all members.
    • 1 social media sponsored ad announcing partnership (Twitter 1300+ followers, LinkedIn 90+ followers, Instagram 350+ followers, and Facebook 3500+ followers; total potential reach 5200+) tagging your organizations social media platforms
      • 1 additional ad 6 months after establishment of partnership

    • Employees from your business will receive training at the UNA member price. This will help your business understand and communicate with the nonprofit community more effectively. ($15-$300 value per employee)
  • Marketing ($850 value)
    • Basic ad listing in newsletters once/month.
    • 1 social media sponsored ad announcing partnership (Twitter 1300+ followers, Instagram 350+ followers, and Facebook 3500+ followers; total potential reach 5200+) tagging your organizations social media platforms
    • Your business will be listed in our Annual Report to all members.
  • You will have the opportunity to sponsor annual nonprofit training/events. We host face-to-face training and networking socials throughout the year and throughout Utah, as well as online training when able.  This is a great way to get your name and logo in front of nonprofit leaders.**

Benefit Level 4: $500/year

*Must provide a significant benefit to UNA Nonprofit Members

  • Business Membership ($300 value)
    • Alphabetical listing in one category on the Nonprofit Services Directory.
    • Employees from your business will receive training at the UNA member price. This will help your business understand and communicate with the nonprofit community more effectively. ($15-$150 value/employee)
  • Marketing ($375 value)
    • Basic ad listing in newsletters once/month.
    • Your business will be listed in our Annual Report to all members.
  • You will have the opportunity to sponsor annual nonprofit training/events. We host face-to-face training and networking socials throughout the year and throughout Utah, as well as online training when able.  This is a great way to get your name and logo in front of nonprofit leaders.**

All this adds up to a value of over $600 for your business and exposure to over 600 nonprofit members and 10,000 nonprofits in the State of Utah!!


**Sponsoring UNA training and/or events includes the opportunity to speak to participants for up to 10 minutes, inviting participants to provide their contact information to your business, and the distribution of handouts.  Each training and/or event sponsorship is $300 to cover the costs of food for the participants.  In return, UNA will introduce your business to the participants, be responsible for all administrative items related to the coordination of food, will display signage at the training and/or event, and will provide one social media post (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn) tagging your business thanking you for your support.  All of this adds up to over $800 in marketing.
