People Helping People, Inc (PHP) is a local grassroots 501c3 non-profit Employment Program dedicated to helping low-income women and single moms reach their full potential in the workplace. PHP helps families break the cycle of poverty by teaching low-income women how to earn an adequate income. With the support of over 100 volunteer business professionals each year, our Employment Program offers a unique, long term, one-on-one approach that helps low-income women develop the tools, knowledge and self-confidence to compete for better jobs, seek raises and promotions and eventually earn an adequate income.
Red Rock Center For Independence
RRCI, formally known as Red Rock Center for Independence, serves people of all ages with any type of disability. Our core services are provided at no cost to the consumer. Our service area includes nine Southwestern Utah Counties: Beaver, Garfield, Iron, Kane, Millard, Piute, Sevier, Washington, and Wayne. Services are provided to Washington and Kane Counties through our main office located in St. George. Additionally, we have three staff members in satellite offices serving Beaver and Millard; Iron and Garfield; and Piute, Sevier, and Wayne Counties. Salt Lake Community College has a proven track record of educating students and providing training that leads to successful careers. We’re consistently in the top 10 nationwide for associate’s degrees awarded, and 74 percent of our students go on to further their educations at four-year schools. We have the most diverse student body of any college in the state and offer more than 120 programs of study in six schools of learning at 10 locations. Our students work hard and we work hard to give them the resources for success. Despite our efforts, and affordable tuition, support for deserving students falls short. The Cold Case Coalition is an all-volunteer non-profit (501(c)(3) organization that assists families and the public with unsolved murders, missing persons, and unidentified human remains. We're not like any other cold case organization. We do review original case investigations, but we don't stop there. We interview witnesses and suspects. We provide DNA testing - in fact, we're opening our own non-profit DNA lab in 2019. We look for bodies with cadaver dogs, ground penetrating radar, and ground searches. We bring publicity to forgotten cases. We offer rewards. We go undercover. We try.
