Job Description: FUNCTION:
Under the direct supervision of the DVVAC Manager and the general direction of the Executive Director, serve a
mobile housing case manager and point of contact for community collaborations. Assist domestic violence and
sexual assault victims in living independent, violence-free lives.
1. Required Functions: Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must have a reasonably clean driving record, valid driver’s
license and ability to drive. Must have ability to clearly communicate by typing, writing and speaking in English.
Must have the ability to assess the needs and provide supportive case management to victims and families dealing
with family violence issues. Must have a vehicle that can be used for frequent travel. Must be capable of
managing large amounts of funding and tracking funding in an organized manner.
2. Provide Flexible mobile advocacy and case management with clients at the location and time of their choice.

3. Conduct needs assessments with residential and community clients to determine housing needs.
4. Provide financial assistance requests for clients that are reasonable and appropriate.
5. Advocate for victims when dealing with barriers to housing.
6. Provide transitional assistance to clients who have obtained housing.
7. Maintain contact with clients weekly to re-assess client goals, needs, and progress.
8. Conduct home visits with each client to assess their situation and track progress.
9. Maintain a solid working knowledge of community resources and services available to clients and assist
clients in obtaining community resources that will allow them to fulfill their goals.
10. Assist clients with Crime Victims Reparations as needed.
11. Give YCC services to community partners and general public.
12. Seek out community partners, build relationships and collaborate services with agencies and business that
can reduce housing barriers.
13. Attend local coalition meetings, community events and any other meetings that may link the Housing Case
Manager with potential community partners.
14. Provide short-term crisis intervention, personal advocacy, information and referrals to walk-in victims of
domestic violence. Follow-up with clients as needed.
15. Maintain accurate records on all clients and enter into client database.
16. Track services rendered according to VOCA standards and submit monthly report to DVVAC Manager by 5 th
working day of each month.
17. Assist DVVAC Manager to compile both VOCA Quarterly Report and Annual Report.
18. Attend DVVAC weekly staffing meeting, and monthly all staff meetings.
19. Attend trainings as requested by the DVVAC Manager.
20. Perform other duties as required.
Prior experience working with individuals and families who have experience domestic violence or sexual assault
required. Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field a plus. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must have the
ability to assess needs and provide supportive case management to victims and families dealing with family violence
issues. Excellent organizational and computer skills required as well as a good knowledge of community resources and
services available. Must be able to engage community partners and articulate requests for collaboration, donations, and
discounted services. Flexible schedule required.
