Phyllis Hockett - Chair Pathway Associates
Phyllis Hockett is a veteran social sector consultant focusing on aligning organizational mission with strategic objectives. With over thirty years experience, Phyllis has worked for and consulted with over one hundred organizations, many for multiple years, while coaching and guiding them as they raised over $160million, and worked through the many challenges and opportunities presented during the natural evolution of nonprofits – from founding to maturity, from financial insecurity to sustainability, from volunteer founders to engaged board and professional staff.
Phyllis is a lifelong volunteer, most recently as vice-chair of Utah Food Bank Services, statewide board member of the Children’s Justice Centers, executive committee of the Nonprofit Academy for Excellence at the University of Utah, and advisory board member of University of Utah Continuing Education. Phyllis is a dedicated teacher, and teaches frequently on nonprofit issues including strategic planning, board development and fundraising at local and national conferences. She teaches regularly in the Academy for Nonprofit Excellence at the University of Utah where she launched the fundraising track.

Anne O'Brien - Vice Chair Professional Education at the University of Utah
Anne’s professional experience centers on managing complex partner relationships and creating actionable plans for change. She currently holds the position of director of Professional Education at the University of Utah, where she also manages the Nonprofit Academy for Excellence. She achieved her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University, Boston, and completed her Masters in Public Administration at the University of Utah. She continues to take numerous professional education courses whenever possible and is an avid believer in continuing one’s education through personal and professional development. |

Fraser Nelson - Past Chair Community Foundation of Utah
Fraser has held positions of leadership in nonprofits large and small for more than 25 years and has a deep understanding of the role they play in improving civic welfare. She joined the Board of UNA while serving as the Executive Director of the Disability Law Center. In 2008 she and venture capitalist Greg Warnock formed the Community Foundation of Utah. Fraser consults with nonprofit organizations and their leaders in Utah and across the country and is adjunct faculty at the David Eccles School of Business. Fraser is a graduate of Duke University and earned her Master’s at St. Mary’s University.

Kai Wilson - Member at Large "and Justice for all"
Kai Wilson is the Director of "and Justice for all", a non-profit devoted to increasing access to civil legal assistance for disadvantaged Utahns. "and Justice for all" is a joint effort of Utah's civil legal aid providers to develop resources, foster collaborative efforts that enhance cost-effectiveness and improve services, and create new service models to address the unmet legal needs of disadvantaged Utahns. "and Justice for all's" collaborative projects have served as models for joint efforts of nonprofit organizations throughout the country. A graduate of the University of Utah, Kai has been active in the non-profit sector for 23 years. He serves on several local committees and boards.

Anna Boulton - Member at Large Utah Arts Council
Anna Boulton is the program manager of the Utah Arts Council’s Community Partnerships Program at the Utah Arts Council. This program provides professional development and technical assistance to over 400 arts and cultural organizations in the state. Anna began her career at the Utah Arts Council as assistant programmer in 1994 while she was finishing her education at Weber State University and became the program manager in 1998. Anna has published two handbooks in conjunction with her position at the arts council, The Art of Volunteer Development, and The Art of Board Development. She has facilitated dozens of workshops and board retreats on nonprofit management including strategic planning, grant writing, leadership skills, conflict management, volunteer development, board development and community cultural planning.
Anna is currently implementing an innovative leadership development program, The Change Leader Program, which uses action learning and creates a mentoring network for community leaders throughout the state. Closely linked to this program is her recently developed grants program, the Creative Communities Initiative, a grant focused on community-generated projects based on key partnerships and economic outcomes. |

Nancy Winemiller Basinger, Ph.D. University of Utah
Nancy has been working in and researching the nonprofit sector for 20 years. She joined the staff of the Lowell Bennion Community Service Center in July 2010 as the Assistant Director and Service-Learning Manager where she works to support both faculty and nonprofits in the community to build strong relationships of service and learning. She holds a Bachelor in Accounting and a Master of Public Affairs in Nonprofit Management, both from Indiana University and a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. Her primary areas of nonprofit expertise are stakeholder management, financial management, advocacy, and measurement and evaluation. Nancy also teaches in the Masters of Public Administration nonprofit concentration and in the Nonprofit Academy for Excellence at the University of Utah and serves on the advisory board for the academy.

Victoria Bernier, CPA Discovery Gateway
Victoria has worked in the nonprofit sector in Utah for 17 years. During the past year, she partnered with Christine Arthur, CPA to start a local public accounting firm, Arthur & Associates, specializing in nonprofit auditing and accounting services. Concurrently and for the past four years she has been the CFO and Director of Administration for Discovery Gateway children’s museum. Prior to Discovery Gateway, she was a partner with The C.P.A. Network, a local public accounting firm, for four and a half years specializing in non-profit and governmental audits. Her early experience in the sector was as the financial manager for Planned Parenthood Association of Utah for eight years. Victoria holds a Bachelor of Science, Accounting and Executive Masters of Business Administration from the University of Utah. She has participated on panels of nonprofit financial experts for the University of Utah Nonprofit Academy of Excellence. When she is not working, she enjoys camping, hiking, snowshoeing and other outdoor adventures.

Gretchen Dietrich Utah Museum of Fine Arts
Gretchen Dietrich is Executive Director of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts at the University of Utah. Before joining the UMFA, Gretchen was Executive Director of the Utah Museums Association, a non-profit, professional membership organization serving Utah’s museum community. Before moving to Utah, she was Director of Education at the Wadsworth Athenaeum Museum of Art in Hartford, CT. Additionally, she has held positions at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She holds an MA in art history from Temple University.

Insa Riepen Recycle Utah
Insa Riepen holds the equivalent of a bachelor of arts degree in banking from Germany and a bachelor of arts degree from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI in marketing and journalism. She spent 13 years in the automotive industry, in accounting, procurement and national steel sales. She has owned and run her own business (B&B in Germany), worked in various banks and for IBM, Hamburg. She developed education and outreach programs for a municipal waste authority in Southeastern Michigan and taught workshops on a variety of topics from waste reduction, to composting and using native plant materials to prevent run off into the Rouge River, MI.
As Executive Director at Recycle Utah, Insa has led the organization in growth of services to residents and businesses in Summit County since 1999. Insa is also a board member of the Uintah RC&D Council and the Friends of the McPolin Farm. She is a member of the Park City Rotary Club. She is involved in local school activities and facilitates school-wide outreach messages. |

Richard is a senior tax manager of CBIZ MHM, LLC and provides tax and consulting services to many nonprofit clients. He has over fifteen years of accounting experience including over ten years of public accounting experience providing tax and accounting services to individuals, nonprofits and small and large companies. Richard regularly attends national nonprofit tax training in Washington D.C. He has also instructed at the national MHM Nonprofit Conference and in local seminars to nonprofit organizations. Richard is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA) and is licensed to practice in the State of Utah. He served two years as the Chair of the UACPA Nonprofit Committee. Richard graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Accounting in Tax.

Saundra Stokes Inclusion Center for Community & Justice
Saundra Stokes is the Associate Director for the Inclusion Center for Community and Justice. She originally participated in the organizations Global Leaders Program in 1996 as a sophomore in high school. After her exposure to social justice, she became a dedicated volunteer for the organization and was hired on as staff in 2003. Her job description and responsibilities include: managing the organization alongside of the Executive Director, conducting fundraisers, coordinating community events, grant writing, program design, and implementing Awareness workshops across the state. Saundra has been a part of numerous collaborations and partnerships since the beginning of her employment. During her time, Saundra has worked with local groups that are comprised of students, non-profits, and members of the business sector to help them advance inclusion and safety in their communities. She has worked with these groups to help them develop service projects, strategic screens, and trainings that foster self-awareness and create respectful solutions to divisive issues. Saundra is currently working towards her Associates Degree at Salt Lake Community College.
